April 30 , 2005 - Bowl-A-Thon

Chesapeake Center for Youth Development
Bowling For Dollars

Ritchie Lanes
Glen Burnie
Saturday, April 30th

The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) participated in the Chesapeake Center for Youth Development, Inc. (CCYD) 16th annual Bow-A-Thon fundraiser on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the AMF Ritchie Lanes in Glen Burnie.

For the second consecutive year, DJS had been challenged by the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in a bowl-off. All proceeds donated to the event will benefit youth in programs at the Chesapeake Alternative School (state certified by MSDE and DJS), the Hollywood Diner (a food service training program and restaurant), the South Baltimore career Center (an employment training and job placement program) and two after-school programs.
