Secretary Donald
W. DeVore, is pleased to announce that a dedication ceremony was
held on January 22, 2008 to thank Mr. Ray Allen, former Chairman
of the Charles H. Hickey, Jr. School Advisory Board for his gracious
donation to the library at the Hickey School. Mr. Allen donated
$5,000 to the library so that books could be purchased for the
youth housed at the Hickey School. Mr. Allen stated that regardless
of what the future holds for the facility or the kids, the books
would always be there for them. Secretary DeVore is very appreciative
of this generous donation and the books will be very well utilized.
Mr. Allen was the Chairman of the Hickey Advisory Board from 2004
- 2007.
