Influenza Update

DJS has secured our own hotline number where staff or visitors can call in and hear a recorded message of the most recent flu information regarding DJS, including: outbreaks, changes in recommendations by the CDC, WHO and DHMH.

Practice the Following:

  1. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
  2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  3. Stay home when you are sick.
  4. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, preferably with a tissue.
  5. Dispose of all potentially infectious material appropriately.
  6. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  7. Practice other good health habits.
  8. Get a Flu Vaccine every year!


Signs and Symptoms to Watch For:
  1. Fever, usually high.
  2. Headache in combination with other symptoms.
  3. Extreme tiredness.
  4. Cough.
  5. Sore throat.
  6. Muscle Aches.
  7. Chills.
  8. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.


Remember, good hand-washing and regular good hygiene
is an excellent way to prevent the spread of disease!
