This summer marks the first time that youth in the Department of Juvenile Services' facilities statewide are participating in the Enoch Pratt Free Library's annual Teen Summer Reading program. The Pratt's program is designed to promote reading as a lifelong value and to help teenagers maintain their reading skills during the summer months.
This summer's theme, Get a Clue!, encourages teens to get a clue and unlock the mystery of reading. Reading logs and themed materials promote the program, track student progress, and recognize levels of achievement. Teens must read a minimum of eight books to win such as notepads, backpacks, and travel alarm clocks.
The program runs through August
5th for teens 11-18. www.pratt.lib.md.us
