Ceramic Tile Workshop at Noyes Children’s Center
On June 15, 2011, youth and their families had an opportunity to have some fun and create decorative art work at a Family Day at Alfred D. Noyes Children's Center. Pam Reid, an artist from Class Acts, worked with youth and family members as they created decorative tiles by first drawing a design on the ceramic tile, painting with ceramic stains, and, finally, completing the products with a sealant for an extra shine. Books and handouts were available to inspire the creativity in the participants. After an enjoyable time, the family members left with their ceramic tile artwork, which can be used as trinkets for the garden, coasters, or home décor.
